Cannes and Mandelieu

From Monaco a motor down the coat to Cannes. but afer a lunch stop in the Beautiful Belieu Bay to the West of Monaco. Tubing behind the Wally was the call and the bow swing... The wind never really filled in but we were hoping. In the evening we were the dock in the old Port of Cannes. We had a few guests leave next morning, Sadly, They were lots of Fun and really Enjoyed the boat. But we had some new guests arrive before we then set off For Mandelieu and Lunch at Anchor..

Bow Lines

Well the Mistral has indeed come in and in full force. Yesterday it averaged 40 its and was even hitting 50 last night. Nothing good happens after midnight!! We were snug enough but a 500 ton sailing boat is hard to hold down in a breeze and Rosehearty was itching to Move.. The Crew and guests less so.. Today the 25th July it dropped off somewhat down in the the 30's seemed balmy. Interesting note the water temp dropped dramatically... We did get the Guests away on the Wally to the beach, Jet Skis and Sea Bobs..Nice breezy walks through Town and relaxation. So all seems good. Hopefully tomorrow mid Day off To Monaco..

That is 9 Bow lines on 4 different attachment points..

FlyBoard and Wally Tender

A bit more wind today started at 20 knots. We got underway and went off to...Pamplone. wind was SW so it was flatter sea there today but it started to get gusty after Lunch. Morning was Jet Ski and some Fly board lessons. Afternoon was a sail in 30-32kts of wind. alternating Main and 2 Jib reefs to Main and Staysail. sailing at 14 knots on and off for 3 hours before returning to the dock. Dinner on board, then a beautiful sunset that spoke of the weather to come... and a nice walk through the old town..A good Rosehearty Day

St Tropez

On a day like today St Tropez..What can you say.. We picked up our guests in Cannes on a blustery day with the wind strong out of the East.  After lunch and to get everyone settled in to the boat we sailed with only small sails. still doing 11 knots. Out 12nm to International waters and then on in to the Bay of St Tropez. Where we moored on the outside wall.

Trans Atlantic Landfall

4,000nm in 12 days including a refuel stop in Horta is an average of 330nm a day. An astonishing time. great Job Capt Markus and the Team. After arrival in Imperia a major clean up and turn around ready to go out for the summer charters. Lots of washing , cleaning and polishing. Refuel again, put on the provisions and then off to Cannes to pick up our new guests. The summer is going to go quick!
