We decided to bring forward Departure by 24 hours to get a better weather window heading South. Easier to delay a day than to bring forward but the Guys and Gals worked hard and late into the evening yesterday and we managed to leave this morning from Antigua at 0745. Winds are Perfect at 15 knots from the East. Temperature 26c and Seas on the beam at 1.5m. Man over Board drills and abandon ship drills to keep us all sharp. ETA to Portsmouth Dominica 1700 this evening...
Well done to the girls of Rosehearty! The challenge was to develop an eco friendly water during to give guests in Lieu of water bottles. Lena and Jamey were runners up with over 40 boats here at the show.. A really good effort girls...Moringa Infused Detoxifying Water. (leaves from the Tree of Life) and lets be fair, who serves water in a Martini glass...It is for Vodka... Now Boys..What can we do..

We dropped a sealed bottle in to the sea containing a nice Watercolour and some notes. We hope to hear where the bottle ends up.
Right after this went in a Dolphin jumped and swam by us..A good omen..
We were at position 38n and 68.58w. Just exiting the Gulf stream.
We have been making good time as we adjust to life and routine back on board..Watches on and off. Staysail is out to steady us. We need to push to the East and past Bermuda and then South to 25n 61w to avoid strong S to SSE winds later in the week.

We left in Quiet conditions at Sunset yesterday Saturday the 12th. On the way out we adjusted and calibrated all the serviced equipment until we were happy. Then in a spectacular Moonlit evening (They say the Brightest moon since 1948) head South at 13 knots for the Gulfstream. It was cold at 3c but our Bridge Awning kept us warm. Took a while to adjust to the rolling motion of a boat underway. So maybe not too much sleep.
