/After the heat dropped a bit, We are on the equator, And it does get very warm from 1100 until 1600..
There was a good hike up to this fabulous view point back into Sullivan Bay. Rosehearty looks tiny down there

/As in the movie Master and Commander We had a nice walk on the beach Seen to the left, Penguins, Rays, sharks , sea Lions Boobys and Frigates.

Penguins!! on the Equator!!
/Not at the north Pole although they would be a great snack for the Polar Bears..however there is a small colony here in the Galapagos. We were lucky to see them 2 times today.. They are so cute you would take one home, If you had enough Sardines..

Lonesome has Gone.
/The last of the Pinta Tortoise's passed away in 2012 but he is still around in Taxidermy form..
It turned out he was Sterile, sadly.
Porto Ayora for the Day.
/We motored in the early evening across to Santa Cruz to the Roadstead anchorage arriving around 2200.
Next morning we had a very nice trip to the Famed Darwin Center in Pto Ayora and in the afternoon a trip up to the Tortoise Sanctuary in the highlands.

Pink or What.?
/In the afternoon we took the tender a mile away for a nice walk. There were lots of Pink Flamingos, also White chilean ones ..i goes the shrimp they feed on over there are not Pink...
After a short hike over the small hill to a bay with Everything present..Iguanas (not the crew type) Rays, Sealions and Sharks.. Very cool
