So where were we? Ohh Lobsters..After the sail and the guest drop off we went on to the Resort Island of PSV a wonderful anchorage and very peaceful. An amazing sandy beach all around and off on the reef a tiny Island with a single hut on it called Mopion.. So walks on the beach a Cocktail or two and Lunch on the terrace was called for. After Water Ski-ing .Wakeboarding and Sea booing there was a big appetite.
Lobsters on the Grill
A Big Day...0600 Fishing trip to go catch lunch..Where did the 2 red snapper come from? Then some beach activities and 6 additional day guests for the BBQ at Chatham on Union Island. A Wally trip to Clifton to the shops while Rosehearty Relocated to Chatham on the West End. A nice anchorage and a great beach. More waterspouts, Sea bobs and paddle boards before a sit down BBQ on the beach under an awning. The guys did a great job... Lunch over and time for a quick afternoon sail. Wally did the beach clean up while we hoisted sail and stood out to sea. An hour later time to tack and head back. Reaching at 12 its in a lovely evening light. Sails down and we ran our day guests back to Palm while Rosehearty relocated to Petit St Vincent or PSV.
Well all good plans need a test...Divers went off for a dive on Horseshoe and worlds end reefs..Really cool. Lots of Fish and Moray's...A another group left to Skorkel in the Turtle sanctuary and saw Stingrays, Fish and Turtles...Meanwhile those of us not so lucky to be in the water left with Rosehearty for Saline beach on Mayreau, this was all at the same time. 300 people live here on Mayreau. There is a very steep hill a great bar 1/2 way up so fortified you feel you can go to the top!! and...Lunch on board. after we were all together a trip to Palm island was made. A good anchorage by ourselves but still windy!! Cocktails on the beach with a setting sun... Rosehearty sat well with 100m of chain out in 20m of water all night as the squalls to 30kts and rain rolled through..Tomorrow another Day..
After Mustique. We hoisted sail and sailed on to First Canouan for a lunch stop and then down to Tobago Cays. Actually a great peaceful sail as indicated in the Photo.. (credit due elsewhere) Canouan was a nice anchorage and had a decent Bar ashore where the drinks were more normally priced about $5 a drink vs $25 up the road... We, after Lunch sailed on to Tobago Cays Always a great spot. Nice Anchorage but as you would expect at this time of year sooo Busy.
Still famous but without Basil it is resting on its Laurels. After being chased around by the security folk here telling us everything we could not Do..We had the guests off on a nice Taxi tour of the island and a drink at the always special Cotton House Verandah..So all was good until Lunch. Poor food and service..So an emergency lunch was set on board for the guests on there return to cheer all up. Good job by all especially the interior staff.
And then on to the famed Mustique. unfortunately while the owners association here wants to see yachts they restrict our activities to basically looking nice. However it is nice to be here and after a swim and a cocktail dinner was onboard and well received by the guests.
Admiralty Bay Bequia
We had a nice sail on Down to Bequia to the South of st Vincent. Small island but very quaint. maybe 5,000 folk live here..We anchored down in Admiralty Bay and went for the mandatory after sail swim off the Wally in calmer waters. Winds continue to be stiff and the swell is still around. Next morning we went ashore for Shopping and Exploring. A nice Lunch on the beach at Keegans.
We had a cracking sail down from St Lucia. 25nm with the wind on the beam. seas were still rough but rosehearty rides really well. 13 knots most the way. We ran in under the lee of some very high mountains in St Vincent. Very unique and dramatic scenery and again not much for the people to do. We arrived in Walialiou and anchored in 50m of water but calm. This is where the base was built for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, although not much remains.
We tucked up in the corner of Vieux Fort Bay as it is still quite windy and rough and passed a quiet evening. Guests were all relaxing after a swim and a good dinner. An early start tomorrow the 29th..Off to St Vincent. Not much to recommend Vieux Fort actually but for the Airport and the container dock. Town is really quite poor.
When we got into the Pitons it was quite windy and the boat that should have left our mooring had not gone and no one was on board..So we decided to move on down to Vieux Fort to be closer to our Pick up point. For later today the 28th December.
Emerson
We set the main and the reacher and sailed South towards the Pitons.. However the weather Turned nasty so down it came again...The rain and the sails.. Winds are in the 20's and Gusting Higher in the Squalls

It was just as tight a Squeeze to get out of Marigot but we departed yesterday at 1100 headed for the Pitons.

Then a Rinse off at the next waterfall!!
This needs no explanation but here goes.. We did a little tour of the Island and stopped at the Hot springs and Volcano.. Here the guys got a nice hot mud bath and Adrien added a few words to the Crew.
Since the 22nd we have been tucked up in Marigot. A real Hurricane Hole in the middle of the West Coast of St Lucia.. The weather is still windy and wet but it is flat in here and we can concentrate on our Charter prep. However all good things come to an end and tomorrow we move down to the South of St Lucia to pick up our Guests. We are all very excited..
